Gary Conway Soft Tissue Therapist

James Wilson.

Chartered Physiotherapist – MSc BSc HCPC MCSP

I am a dedicated physiotherapist with a passion for helping patients regain their full function and achieve their personal goals. I hold an MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-reg) from Oxford Brookes University, completed in 2023. Before this, I graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Exeter. I am a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council, and I have also completed my Acupuncture and Dry Needling and Sports Massage qualifications.

Alongside my role at Square One, I work at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital within the NHS, where I have gained valuable experience in the Emergency Department, Orthopaedics, and Musculoskeletal teams. My approach to physiotherapy is hands-on and exercise-based, focusing on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

During my physiotherapy sessions, I emphasise thorough patient assessments, individualised rehabilitation plans, and comprehensive treatment programs. I integrate education and manual techniques to ensure the best outcomes for my patients. I believe in a holistic approach, combining physical treatment with patient education to promote long-term health and wellbeing.

Within the NHS, I have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, treating various conditions affecting the neck, shoulder, elbow, spine, hip, knee, and ankle. I have developed a particular interest in shoulder conditions. Additionally, my role has allowed me to enhance my communication skills by supervising therapy assistants and educating the next generation of physiotherapy students.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy watching and playing various sports, traveling the world, and spending time with my family and friends. Joining the Square One team, I am excited to take on new challenges and make a meaningful difference in my patients’ lives. I aim to continue advancing my physiotherapy skills and knowledge, and to contribute to innovative treatments that enhance patient recovery processes.
